Nearby Dog Parks and Off-Leash Areas
Wateridge Village is subject to the same bylaws as the rest of the City of Ottawa when it comes to dogs. This includes poop and scoop rules, dogs remaining on a leash at all times, and keeping dogs at least 5 meters away from the play structures in parks.
The future Kishkabika Park will include a very nice off-leash dog area. In the meantime, there are several off-leash dog areas that are close to our community that allow our furry friends to socialize and go for a run.
361 MEADOW PARK PLACE & 355 LONDON TERRACE
Hemlock Park & London Terrace Park
Hemlock and London Terrace parks are two city of Ottawa parks located on the other side of the Aviation parkway from Wateridge. Both parks allow dogs off-leash provided they are at least 5 meters away from the play structures and under control.
HILLESDALE ROAD AND CLOVERDALE ROAD
Rockcliffe Dog Park
There is a popular area on NCC Property in Rockcliffe near the River house that allows dogs off-leash. There are signs posted as you enter the off-leash area. You will find it on Hillsdale Rd. It includes lots of nice natural areas, treed areas and trails. A public parking area is available at the corner of Hillsdale road and Cloverdale road.

Shefford Sports Park
A short drive east of Wateridge near the Richcraft Sensplex on Shefford Rd, there is a fully fenced dog park with a sally-port gate, parking and waste disposal. This is great popular dog park that always has a friendly crowd of users and their dogs.
